Over the next year...

the RCE network will be engaged in the following activities:

Engagement:

Work with network to begin deep engagement sessions on sustainability education and initiatives, including leading and supporting workshops across the region that aim to invite community groups, education institutions and governments into our local sustainability education network and that focuses on our core objectives.


#2.

Partnership Building

Bring together existing partnership with City of Kawartha Lakes, Haliburton, Peterborough, and Indigenous Communities, and provide opportunities for partnership within the Global RCE Network.


#3.

Communication

Highlight sustainability stories and projects in the region on our website, monthly newsletter, and social media channels that will connect our local RCE with the 154 other regions around the world.

Governance Structure

Build consensus around a governance approach, in conversation with Indigenous Elders from the community.

Collaboration

Work with partners to identify key opportunities for the network to promote existing efforts, support the work of partner organizations, develop new projects in collaboration, and directly implement initiatives. Activities will advance the six key RCE objectives.

Evaluation

Identify mechanisms to frame and evaluate the program-based and broader community-based RCE outcomes, specifically as they relate to the achievement of the six key objectives.
